I made a command decision this morning. I bought tickets to the Major League Baseball game tonight in Miami versus the Colorado Rockies. The Marlins aren’t very good this year, but the boys always loved going to see Ranger baseball games when we were in Texas. This will be our first pro game of any sport here in South Florida.
We love to eat & play! Today, we took Dad & Pat to Fernandez the Bull, our favorite Cuban restaurant in Key Largo. It’s not a far drive, and the have the best Lechon Asado in the Keys. Poppop was reintroduced to the cuban sandwich!
Jessica has a dentist appointment in the afternoon, and we made a plan to leave for Miami & LoanDepot Stadium immediately upon her return. Unfortunately, Mommom didn’t feel up to going due to her back hurting. The game was to start at 6:40 pm, and we had at least 1.5 hours of travel time.
We arrived to the park around 5:45 pm, with plenty of time to spare. Upon arrival, we took a little batting practice in the exhibition net in front of the stadium. Only John & I actually batted, but we were cheered on by the rest of the crew.
As we walked into the stadium, we were routed to the Humana Cabana club for our field side seats. The stadium attendant exclaimed “Wow, these are great seats!”
He was right. We had a great time. Marlins beat the Rockies 7-4.
